The spring recital marks the end of another great year of lessons, as students take the stage one more time before summer break.

Join us at 9:30 at the Paul F. Keller Meeting Hall in Duck, NC to enjoy this free, fun and interactive music class. This program focuses on toddler-centric general music explorations- singing, moving, listening and playing instruments.

Our students bring live music to the residents of Spring Arbor in Kill Devil Hills on the third Friday of each month, sharing the joy of music with our senior neighbors from 4-5 pm. RSVP encouraged.

Drop-in to our weekly jam session designed for adults ages 16+. This class meets on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Drop-in on Fridays from 4:00-5:00 pm for our Teen Jam Lab- designed for musicians aged 12-18.

Barefoot Music Academy students provide pre-show music in the Atrium at First Flight High School for the Outer Banks Forum for the Lively Arts performance from 6:00-6:50 pm. Barefoot teachers will invite select students to perform.

Our winter recital caps off a semester of hard work, as family and friends gather to celebrate every student's progress. Mark your calendar for this year's winter recital from 2-4 pm. Additional details to follow.

Whether you're coming to watch, signing up your kiddo, or joining a jam session yourself, here's what you need to know.
Do I need to be enrolled in private lessons to join a jam session?
No — workshops and jam sessions are open to any musician on the Outer Banks. Drop-in, even if you're just visiting the area.
Do I need to pay for performance opportunities?
If you are a student of Barefoot Music Academy, our performance opportunities are free and students are encouraged to participate. We simply ask that you sign-up so we know you are participating. This includes our monthly Spring Arbor opportunity as well as December and May recitals and other performances announced throughout the year.
What age groups are the jam sessions for?
Jam Sessions and Labs are built for teens and adults. Younger musicians should check out our Kid's Group Class page instead.
